Quick Overview

For this original painting, I used shapes from different plants in my garden.  I combined colour and pattern to contrast them against each other, the overall effect becoming quite vivid with detail, tone and texture.  There are many layers and many marks!

Quick Overview

Handmade and handpainted, these little bowls are all complete one-offs, and have been a joy to make.  Some have an idiom or proverb painted along the bottom, and are small individual artworks. Painted with lovely rich blue cobalt powder and using a technique called sgrafitto to scratch out the detail has had me finding my old self again:)

They are actually also the perfect size as a water or food dish for your furchild, if your furchild is a dainty eater, unlike mine…

Best to wash by hand (the high temperatures of the dishwasher can cause fine cracks in the glaze over time).

These cute bowls are happy one of ones and add a bit of quirky fun to the table.  Use for sides, salads, sweets, chips or dips.

The shapes are cut out by hand and applied individually to the ceramic, thereafter fired to become permanent. Each is unique:)
